Holly - Ilex aquifolium

Picture

The Holly is a small, evergreen tree that can reach heights of up to 15m. It is common across the west of Scotland but rare in the north.

The Holly is easily identified by its waxy, green leaves that are commonly, though not always, serrated, and the clumps of bright red berries.
